Crossroads Youth Ministry

Our Youth Director, Rob Lyons, and his wife Tori (right with daughter Noelle) have a wealth of youth ministry experience, a love for teens and proven track record in discipling students.  The Lyons’ are supported by a number of adults which comprise our Youth Ministry Team.  Together this team seeks to minister to our students by winning, teaching, and serving; pointing them to the Lord Jesus as each counts the cost of what it means to live for the risen Christ.

Start the week right by coming to Sunday School at 9:30am each week!  Get into sharing, praying and learning from God’s Word together!

Active and challeYouth 1nging

Our youth are very important to us and we provide an active program to encourage them in their spiritual lives and church involvement. In addition to regularly scheduled meetings, we also provide a variety of outings, retreats, and joint activities with other church youth groups. We also challenge our young people through exposure to local and cross-cultural missions experiences, including trips outside the USA. Missions experiences include building projects, evangelism and teaching Vacation Bible School (VBS). Past missions destinations have included: Monclova, Mexico; Annotto Bay, Jamaica; DC/LA94, Washington; Jungle Aviation and Radio Service/Jungle Jump-Off , Waxhaw, NC; inner-city Philadelphia housing communities (FilaSIDE)/Jesus Children Fellowship; Siparia, Trinidad; Aracatuba, Brazil ; several times in Appalachia (West VA); Juarez, Mexico; Toronto, Canada; Gulfport, MS; and Northern New Jersey (hurricane relief). A number of our teens served on teams in Gloucester, MA and Guatemala in the recent past.

Youth 2

Growth and service

Activities are planned with the purpose of reaching out with the Gospel of Christ (John 3:16), encouraging the believer’s growth through the study of God’s Word (Hebrews 4:12), and equipping students to exercise their faith unto maturity (Philippians 1:6) by encouraging servant leadership (Philippians 2). Our teens serve the church body through various ministries including being Teen Assistants in our Pioneer Club Program (K-6) and assisting in child care.

Youth 3
